Sober sex
I define sober sex as present sex where no drugs (ChemSex) or fantasies are involved, and the connection between body and mind is maintained. Helping patients achieve intimate and present sex is part of my collaboration with my late colleague, David Stuart and developing guidelines for health professionals (Kunelaki, R., 2019; What is Sober Sex and How to Achieve it? Drugs and Alcohol Today).
I work with patients who struggle to achieve sober sex after stopping drugs to manage sexual activity (ChemSex).
